Outbound Marketing Is Not Dead

I laugh and laugh when people say outbound marketing is dead.

It is so far from dead. It is alive, well and you need it

How do you think people find out about your company brand? You can’t sit back, play on social media, SEO, YouTube and cross your fingers that your customers find you. TV Ads still work great. Billboards are not going anywhere soon, and direct mail still brings in customers.

Do not buy into any hype that says Outbound Marketing is dead. Outbound Marketing goes by another name: ADVERTISING. It is still very much needed if you want to expand your customer base.

With that being said, what strategies can smaller businesses and websites use to get these expensive outbound marketing platforms? And why would we want to when Youtube, SEO, etc are so much more cost effective?

Thanks for the comment. I am not sure those platforms are most cost-effective so much as they are just free. To me something is cost-effective if you get an ROI out of the investment. Free things

    – Google Adwords advertising can be had for pennies. You could run an effective campaign on $100 – $200 a month to hit your target demographic. I give out free $105 coupons for people to get started.
    – Same with Facebook ads
    – I pay $40/month for access to 25,000 business and personal addresses that I can download. I can subdivide and target my audience and mail them information
    – A small billboard in my city costs $300/month
    – You can put up a :30 video ad on satellite TV via the Google Ad platform.

Those are the 5 off the top of my head. What do you think? Feel free to respond here or email me at patrick at allaboutfocus.com

    That’s clear answer Patrick,
But for new comer in the Adword field I feel a little confused about the site design, still can’t use targeting better. Any advice you can give to me?

I’d do some research on some great 3-4 word keyword phrases that you can experiment with. That plus some initial ads for testing. Adwords is very much about putting things in different groups to testing, measuring, and then changing to test again. I love it because it is very easy to changes and redeploy a new test.
